The following chart is intended to be a rough guideline for travel on a month by month basis to the countries listed. In general, there are positives and negatives to visiting any country at any time of the year, depending on a variety of factors, and no rating given below should turn you entirely off from visiting at that time. Custom Adventures will help you determine the best time to visit the area of the world which interests you, taking into account weather, activities, natural phenomenon, holidays, and crowds.

The colors below represent ideal, suitable, and less than ideal times for travelling. They do not necessarily correspond to the peak tourist seasons, and in fact, excessively high number of tourists during a time might degrade the rating for that month from ideal to suitable.

The suitable rating is the most general, and could have been given due to a variety of reasons; marginal weather conditions, extremely high crowds, less than perfect conditions for the prime activity (such as a wildlife safari), or situations in which the climate or activities vary so widely from region to region within a country, that it is impossible to put into a chart (e.g. Australia, United States, Canada)
