Custom Adventures is not a travel agency. It is more like a travel consultancy. We do not expect commissions from any trip we book, and as a result we can give you the most objective recommendations. We have nothing to gain or lose from the expense of the trip or the operators that are used.

Get more than just a set of brochures to look through
We will work closer with you than most travel agencies, to make sure we fully understand the type of trip you are looking to take. We will not limit ourselves to just those areas with which we are familiar - we'll do the research necessary to explore all your options. We've often felt let down by travel agencies that simply present us with a set of brochures from which we should pick a trip. That's easy. We want to do more for you.

Focused on planning
Custom Adventures' core competency is planning extraordinary vacations. However, if your trip requires, we also can book your outfitter, airlines, hotel, cars, etc, and handle all the correspondence until the time of your departure. But we're not a travel agency focused on just making quick bookings. Everybody else does that and does it well. We give you hours of our time, not minutes. We can help you with flights and finding good fares through some of our contacts, but if you simply need an agency to get you the best fares, we will point you in another direction.

When we're not right for your trip we'll direct you to someone who is
For certain trips, you are much better off working with a traditional travel agency -- and we will tell you if your desired trip is one of those. There is no sense in paying us a fee to do something that we feel you can easily do without us. If our special skills are not necessary, we will tell you, but we'll still be happy to help if that is what you prefer.
